Sorry that I took so long to get back to you, but I now finally have some free-time. 
Do you still want me to build that Bahama’s House website? 
What are your ideas?

FEATURES (some of my ideas):

• Photo/ Video Galleries
  • Multiple galleries possible
    • Photos/ Videos of the property/ house
    • Photos/ Videos of neighborhood/ island
    • Etc.
• Vacation/ Tourist Guide
  • RECOMMENDED INFORMATION/ METHODS: Recommend stuff to do/ places to go
    • Each may have own description/ images/ videos/ tags/ etc
    • MAPS: Each thing to do/ place to go may have a geographical location associated
      • We will pull all of these “things to do” up on a google map & allow people to click through
  • LINK DIRECTORY: Provides Links (URLs) to anything related to this vacation spot
• Event Calendar
  • PROPERTY EVENTS
    • Use to show openings/ closings in rental times
    • Allow customers to sign up for a rental time
  • GENERAL EVENTS (Directly Related to Vacation/ Tourist Guide)
    • List out the best festivals, celebrations, events, etc. that occur on the island OR surrounding islands
• Signups (allow people to sign up for a specific time – people will be given their own unique username/ account on the website)
  • We can limit signup to 1 (per opening/ event), so that there are no discrepancies  (signups are closed after limit is reached)
• Webform (to fill out inquiry information).
  • Have required questions/ fields
  • Will send both you and them a copy upon submission
• Newsletter
  • Private newsletter:  Send summaries of all events (w/ dates & people associated) to your email address daily/weekly/monthly/etc
    • THIS WILL ALLOW FAMILY MEMBERS TO KEEP UP-TO-DATE ON THE USAGE OF BAHAMA’S HOUSE
  • Public Newsletter:
    • Collect interested parties email address
    • Auto-send them lists of open dates, coupons, General or property event calendar, etc
• Store
  • Selling Signups to Events: We could turn this into a “store”, whereby users purchase certain dates.  Upon purchasing a specified date, no more users would be able to sign up for it.
  • OR
  • General Payment System: We could also just use a fill-in-the-blank money field (whereby customers can submit payment through your website using papal, credit card, etc.)  Basically you would tell them – your bill is ___”  please submit payment through our website. Thanks

Universal parts (All of these are available for each section listed above):  Commenting, rating (up/down OR 1-10 stars), tagging (categorizing)

The “Selling Signups to Events” method described above is still under development.  I am actually building this system right now for a dentist office to maintain its appointments, customers & maybe even payments.   Haven’t figured it out 100% yet, but will soon.  Best part about Drupal (the program I build websites with) is that we can always add more features/ functionality on later without any problems.

I am ready to start building if you are.
Have you picked a domain name?  I can suggest a few if you don’t know.
Also, start gathering pictures/ videos that you want to post.
